Using the SIP Center SIP Application Server to test user agents
The SIP Center SIP Application Server is a permanent, 24 x 7 interoperability testing facility that enables companies and organizations to test functionality of user agents connecting to a proxy server or to test other proxy servers for connectivity. The server is version 7.1.8 of the Avaya SIP Application Server exposing only the proxy server functions of the platform (i.e. not the SIP Servlet Container, IMS functions, Conference SDK and Application Building Blocks). A full list of the server's features and capabilities are listed here. The SIP Application Server has a standard configuration but if some of the other, configurable, features are required then you can contact the SIP Center and we can allocate a time slot when the server is configured to your requirements. The use of the SIP Application Server is free. You will need to register here to receive a username and password and instructions on how to access the server.
To ensure a robust, dependable service and fast reliable operation, the SIP Center SIP Application Server is hosted on a dedicated Sun (Solaris) system connected in a fully resilient dual connection to UUNET (2 x 2 Mbps) and GlobalOne (1 x 2 Mbps.)
No single implementation can define SIP, but the SIP software available here has been tested with a large number of other SIP implementations. The purpose of the interoperability testing is to identify problems in implementations, interpretations of the protocol specification and the protocol specification itself. If you think you have encountered such an area please contact us so that we can work together to find a solution.
To assist the user community in gaining maximum productivity from the SIP Center we provide additional information in the form of call flows and expected messages to help users test implementations against these benchmark tools.
The SIP Center Network Server runs on port 5060 with a connection address of sip.sipcenter.com.
