A software-based media processing resource that can support a broad range of applications, from basic messaging and multiparty conferencing to prepaid services and video portals. The SnowShore IP Media Server utilizes industry-standard server platforms and standards-based IP protocols, and leverages the ongoing evolution of network architectures and processor technology to deliver a future-proof media processing solution for next-generation IP applications.  

The Brooktrout SnowShore IP media server is scalable software-based technology available on a range of standard servers ranging from 1U/2U rack mounted servers that support 300 RTP sessions per server to high density blade servers supporting 7,000 RTP sessions in a 7U chassis. NEBS configurations with redundant, hot-swappable power supplies are available for colocated deployments. Solution partners can begin service trials with a single SnowShore IP Media Server, then add servers over time to support expansion or migrate to high-availability operation—and do so in either a single centralized facility, or in regionally distributed points of presence throughout the network.
